A diplomatic incident in Ealing over Kim Jong-un’s haircut | Brief letters
Comments Off on A diplomatic incident in Ealing over Kim Jong-un’s haircut | Brief lettersNorth Korean embassy | Reform UK newspaper | Wholemeal bread | Tarred and feathered | Lincolnshire’s actor-manager
Regarding your article on foreign embassies in residential London neighbourhoods (29 October), in 2014, a hairdresser in south Ealing put up a window poster with an image of Kim Jong-un and the strapline “Bad hair day?” They were offering a 15% discount on men’s haircuts. The next day, two besuited men from the nearby North Korean embassy turned up, demanding that the poster be removed. Both parties went to the police. No further action was taken.

• Thank you for warning me that the so-called “newspaper” produced by the so-called political party Reform UK may drop through my door (Report, 29 October). As my cat prefers to go outside in all weathers rather than use her litter tray, could you suggest other uses for this Farage farrago, or alternatively advise me how I can prevent it arriving at all?
